Cover work for 23rd March 2015

Year 12,

Sorry I'm not in today, but here's is the work I was going to go through with you today.

I was going to talk you through how to put your case studies together (using the sheet below as guidance) and allow you some time to work on them in the lesson:

I have decided that you will need to find some film examples from one or two of the 'Big 6' to use as examples, but you don't need to create a case study for the institution itself.

Blockbuster examples from 2014 you could use include: The Amazing Spider-Man 2; Maleficent; X-Men: Days of Future Past; Guardians of the Galaxy.

There are some examples on the sheet with some initial stats that I've put together, but you will need to research the ways in which they were produced, distributed, etc. Remember to look at things like publicity stunts and film festivals, particularly for independents.

Continue to work on this before Wednesday - we'll be looking at an exam question/answer then and you can ask me any questions about the case studies.

Institutions and Audiences: Section B Revision Guide

Here is the revision guide I handed out in Wednesday's lesson. Please ensure you read it (yes, all of it!) before our lesson on MONDAY 16TH MARCH. This is so that we can discuss any areas of concerns you have so that I can cover them in our final lesson before the Easter Break.

Note: You should also begin to research both Working Title and Warp Films and begin composing your case studies for the exam.

See you all on Monday!
